Activity Introduction
Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) is executing the Green Excellence Center project under the Asian Productivity Organization (APO). Led by Chen Chung-Hsien, Chief of theBureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs, R.O.C, a delegation visited Laos from February 22nd to 27th for a visit, exchange, and cooperative discussions at the Yongzhen site.
The team members include domestic businesses engaged in green energy products and services, such as HENGS’, EPISTAR CORPORATION, and Chunghwa Telecom. Collaborating with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce's Small and Medium Enterprise Bureau in Laos, ITRI completed the APO demonstration project - the installation of a 10kWp solar parking shed within the premises of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in Laos last December. The solar power generation will provide electricity to a nearby small office building, with an expected reduction in electricity costs of 40-50%.
